Hailing from Georgetown, Guyana, John Chester-Inniss has been deeply involved in ministry since his pre-teen years. Born to Wilbert and Deborah Inniss as the second of their three children, he developed a lifelong dedication to serving the church and its community.

At his home church, Ebenezer SDA in Guyana, John was a highly active leader who served in numerous capacities. His roles included Ordained Deacon, Assistant Sabbath School Superintendent, Adventist Youth Society member, Pathfinder Director, and Elder-in-training overseeing the Youth and Religious Liberty departments. He was particularly passionate about guiding youth and young adults, earning him the affectionate title of “Director John,” a name he is still fondly called today.

John brings this wealth of experience, leadership, and dedication to the Solid Rock Seventh-day Adventist Church, where he has served faithfully as an Elder since September 2020.

He shares his life and ministry with his lovely wife, Shaneeza, and together they are blessed with three wonderful children: Gabrielle, Ethan, and Ariel. Beyond his church leadership, John’s hobbies include reading, following international affairs, meeting new people, and dedicating his time to volunteerism.
