Worship Leader
With over 40 years of comprehensive experience in musical direction, Marvin Ford is the heart and soul of expressed worship here at Solid Rock. His extensive musical education includes studies at Howard University, Peabody Conservatory, and Montgomery College.
Far more than just a member of the music staff, Marvin masterfully combines high-end technical playing and vocal skills with a down-to-earth passion for Jesus. This unique blend has cultivated what our congregation affectionately known as “The Solid Rock Sound”.
As a dedicated director and mentor, he has hand-selected and invested deeply in teaching and training lay singers, transforming them into the inspiring “Solid Rockers Praise Team.” Marvin has a profound passion for people, believing in building others up the exact same way he plays music: with all his heart, all his soul, and all his might!
